Current Positions Available 

HR Coordinator  - Casual 4-6 hours per week

 

Rivers of Yarrambat is seeking an experienced human resources professional to assist with a range of HR administrative tasks within our busy lifestyle centre.
This role is ideal for those who have stepped away from a full-time HR career and are looking for flexible part time hours. Working approximately 4–6 hours per week, the right candidate will enjoy flexibility around parenting needs including school holidays.


The position will entail a range of HR duties including:

• updating policy/HR manuals
• staff recruitment including shortlisting and interviewing candidates
• onboarding and induction of new staff
• maintaining and updating employee records
• liaising with the Managing Director


Rivers is a multifaceted business comprising a café, gift shop, garden centre, and takeaway coffee and food hub so our employees span the hospitality, retail, administration and professional sectors. The diverse nature of our centre means you’ll be responsible for recruiting junior dishwashers to retail managers and more.


The ideal candidate will possess:

• the ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently
• strong attention to detail and accuracy
• demonstrated experience in a similar role

EXPERIENCED CHEF - Casual

 

We are looking for a qualified Chef with a genuine passion for fresh, local produce along with a broad range of skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. Must have experience in a commercial kitchen - experience in a similar cafe environment is highly favourable.

 

The role will comprise of 2 -3 shifts per week. Availability for at least one weekend shift per week is highly advantageous.

GARDEN CENTRE SENIOR SALES PERSON - Full Time or 4 days per week

 

We're seeking a qualified horticulturist to join our sales team in the Garden Centre. This is a senior position suitable for someone with broad retail garden centre experience and extensive plant knowledge.

 

The successful applicant will have a passion for indoor and outdoor plants, excellent organisational skills, and demonstrate a love of outdoor work.

Responsibilities include customer service, merchandising, and daily operations including incoming stock and plant maintenance. Opportunities exist for suitable candidate in selected plant buying and responsibility for a section of the Garden Centre. 

 

Role requires a full driver's licence, and fork-lift licence is an advantage. Days and hours are negotiable but will include regular weekend shifts. Position is available for an immediate start.
